Just adding details to Scotties post (like a proper topic heading!) so you can see what this is about. Might even go, but will decide closer to the event. If anyone else is interested post here / send me a note. My experience on long weekend is all the heat is on the highways, we just need to be sensible on the back roads and no spoilers are expected...
If you don't know this road it is a "must ride". I would not contemplate going to Qld and miss this road, even by car! The thing is it was made by the Lions Club who badly needed a connecting road but needed to do it on the cheap. The roads a beauty, but, well, you see it's like this - we're Aussies mate and we aren't too fussed about those bs rules about corner radii, grades, change of direction etc. Which makes for an interesting road - you don't get big dippers like that out there in public road space! And of course the cheapest way to put a road down is to put it on the ground - wherever that happened to be at the time! Within reason of course, the road is not dangerous, just "very interesting"!!! And quite a lot of fun....
