This Sunday is a scheduled ride, we are promised sunshine until Monday and this is an easy half day out with some cool twisties in between. I still have chicken strips on a week old new rear tyre so I am keen to remedy that on the magic 10 miles at the top of the Putty as it certainly wasn’t going to happen on the very average roads around Gloucester and across to Dungog where Frances & I rode to the Motorcycle Show & Shake(speare) last weekend.

Seven bikes on last month’s club ride had a great time, let’s see if we can get 17 this month, how about it - are you in? El Prezo Brett says he’ll be there, finally kid sports and racing weekends have given him one off, so now’s your chance to collar him about the cool thing(/s) you would like to volunteer for to help really get this club cracking again. Details from the calendar (http://hunterdog.org.au/Calendar/month.php) are as below, and if you click on the link for this announced topic you will even see a couple of pics of the destination. Wipe the dust off that Duke and roar on down, see you there! ………Vince Sunter

Club Ride - Putty Rd Grey Gum Café; 9am Freemans Depart
Putty Rd Grey Gum Café: via Sandy Ck Rd, Broke, Milbrodale, Bulga, Howes Valley & Putty Rd Half Way House. A nice medium day out in the sunshine to do that magic top ten miles, and after the sighting run is done and a short break at the top bbq turnaround area the keen ones might go back for another loop! Singleton pub for lunch and the back way to Lochinvar home. 84km to Bulga for fuel, 67km to Grey Gum Cafe then 88km to Royal Hotel Singleton (+30km if keen) and 81km back to Newc. You can do it, you know you want to!!!

The Half Way House is open again after it burnt down, but has no fuel yet. The new Grey Gum Cafe is just the other side of Putty, approx 19km past the half way house (check out the menu at http://www.greygumcafe.com.au) and well worth going down to!. But we need to fuel up at Bulga on the way as it is just a bit too far for the sports bikes on a tank of juice. Unless we decide to ditch the cafe and turn around after doing the top 10 miles and head straight to the Royal at Singleton for morning tea. This would shave about 60km off the day and is to be decided by those present!

Meet 8:45am for 9am-ish departure (unless rain prevents).  Departure points vary depending which direction we are going.

West / South West: Freemans Waterhole Oaks - this is the Shell servo on the left when coming from Toronto or Kurri, or right from Sydney.

You will be going somewhere nice and in the company of friendly like minded people who love to ride their Ducatis, or they want to one day.

GENERAL INFO APPLICABLE TO ALL RIDES:
All are welcome and there is no club charge, you don't have to be a member (until you want to be). We mostly adopt a ride practice of waiting at turns - this gives the faster riders a bit of a rest, and allows others to catch up at their own pace with no worries. We may sometimes use corner markers and / or tail riders depending on group size / destination / whatever, but the main thing is to ensure that everybody has a good time riding and in the company of others.

Please also note that the club accepts no liability whatsoever for your actions / losses, regardless of the cause - see disclaimer here: http://www.hunterdog.org.au/RidesAndEvents.htm#Disclaimer
