Official AUSCO Press Release:

MOTUL Sponsored Winton Round Of The 2009 Formula Xtreme TT Series on SBS Speedweek This Sunday Afternoon & Next.

Do you feel like watching some excellent Australian motorcycle road racing this weekend?

Well if you do then you have two great choices, you can pop out to Queensland Raceway just a few clicks south west of Ipswich to watch the ASBK or you can stay at home or go to your mates place and watch the first of two one hour specials featuring the premier Formula Xtreme class from the MOTUL sponsored first round of the 2009 Formula Xtreme TT Series from the recent Winton Raceway round of the series on high rating SBS Speedweek show from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm.

All three of Sundays Formula Xtreme races along with plenty of interviews and colour stories will be there for all to see on either your normal TV or your HD set as the FX-TT is also being shown in HD. There is some spectacular on board footage also which will feature strongly in all of the three Formula Xtreme races. The premier Formula Xtreme races were closely fought out battles with some of Australia’s best racers going head to head, Honda mounted Craig Coxhell tussled back and forth with Yamaha mounted Scott Charlton and the two very fast Ducati mounted racers Craig McMartin and up and coming star Beau Beaton. Kawasaki hard it’s NSW FX Cup Champion Jason Kain out to defend Kawasaki pride over the weekend. These televised races should not be missed as there will be some surprises in the final outcome.

The second part of the MOTUL sponsored Winton FX-TT round will go to air the following weekend and will feature races from the combined Formula Xtreme-Lites / Superstock class, the Formula OZ race will feature a great tussle between the brand new to road racing KTM 1190 RC8R with local star Shannon Johnson giving the big KTM a great racing debut while be battles it out with top Superbike privateer GXSR1000 mounted Braydon Carr.
The booming BEARS class will also have one race televised with their large grids and action packed close racing being a highlight of the TV coverage, as will the combined 125gp / 400 class that promises some great racing action. Last but not least the Puma RV sponsored combined Junior class that runs both 2-storke 80cc bikes combined with 150cc 4-stroke machines will also get air time with their own race on air in the same show with the senior brethren.

That is two big Sunday afternoons in a row of excellent MOTUL sponsored Formula Xtreme TT racing on SBS Speedweek. The shows will also go to air soon after on FOX Sports Inside Speed and FOX HD, watch out for a follow up release announcing when these shows will be on air along with an announcement about the shows being shown on a major networks HD channel later in the year.

As previously announced that makes it four channels showing two x one hour shows, giving each of the previously announced televised Formula Xtreme rounds the most comprehensive and highest rating TV coverage of any domestic road racing series in Australia in 2009. That is eight hours of coverage across the four channels per televised round plus the many repeats on FOX Sports these shows will receive.
For those of you who would rather watch your motorsport via the web, it won’t be to long now until the soon to be launched SBS Speedweek website will be up and running, all the Formula Xtreme TT Series televised coverage will also feature on the SBS Speedweek website as another bonus to our spectators, competitors and sponsors.

So switch on and tune in your TV sets this Sunday to SBS Speedweek at 1:00 PM to watch some excellent Formula Xtreme racing action from Winton Raceway.
