Re: Wanted to buy - ST Headlight assy, they smash you know

As it happens I had a spare headlight assy courtesy of a Ducati Designs upgrade I did, and also it happens Andrew was up here today on business, so he now has a new headlight assy!

Andrew's tale of a rock thrown up by a semi and seeing a big chunk of glass going flying by him is a sobering reminder of how easy they break.

I had heard about the fearful price of replacing the OEM assemblies, and then I found out how expensive DD systems are to own (in '05 you had to fork out for more taxes etc than now, about 30% I think it added up to then - very unexpected!). As a consequence I have since thrown away two $30 Ventura light guards due to rocks instead of having to front at the spare parts counter, much better!

Ventura guards are available from Frasers on a 1 - 3 week order basis, they have to come from NZ for the now obsolete early model ST shapes.

Hello fellow Ducatista

In need of a ST4s headlight (2003), copped a stone Friday at Peats Ridge.  Sydney rider,  not a member, however was there when Vince realised the frame on his ST4s was cracked at Canberra NDR.  My brother in law gave you a dink in search of your partner.

Does anyone have a spare headlight for sale? Andrew
