Obviously the below "sudden issue" didn't get properly sorted for a while, but they are away again now. See http://hunterdog.org.au/DiscussionBoard/index.php?topic=598 for continuation of these newsletters.

I am of course curious what lead to a sudden and unexplained "ceased employment at MA", but that is just idle curiosity. Whatever the issues were we all know shyte happens then you move on!

Sorry but I am still clearing out the back log. And it seems MA has had a bit of a problem in the publicity dept as the November newsletter is way overdue. Not that that may have been noticed since chain dragging has been a bit of a feature here too! So here are the prior newsletters, starting with the reason for the bump in the road. As before, the simple copy and paste is below, to read formatting and working links download the attachments below.

Press Release For immediate release 26 October, 2009

Staffing change at Motorcycling Australia

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to announce that Dan Rotman has ceased employment at MA. While no discussion has taken place yet as to finding a replacement for the role, in the interim Riders? Division Assistant Matthew Bennett will stand in.
In addition to an excellent understanding of the Riders? Division, Bennett has a strong management background, has conducted countless motorcycle tours, and has been riding for more than 18 years. MA would like to thank Rotman for his contribution to motorcycling and wishes him all the best in his future endeavours. For further information please contact:

Usual deal, except this time maybe we will get a bit more on the biggie at Broadford since Brett woofed his way into a pit crew job (is passing the beer a job?): The below is a paste of the text, if you would like to look at it properly formatted with weblinks and pretty pictures download the attached email:

Motorcycling Australia e-Newsletter – April 24, 2009

Welcome to this edition of MA’s e-Newsletter, containing all of the news and relevant information in and around the Australian motorcycling community.

And what a fantastic time was had for those lucky enough to be at Broadford over the Easter weekend, as the Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza swung into action and provided riders and spectators with the opportunity to relive some of the glory days of years gone by. Former 250cc World Champion Kel Carruthers also lit up the complex on Saturday night as he reminisced about his career during the HBBB Gala dinner.

In Australian Championship news, the MX Nationals kicked off this month and defending Champion Jay Marmont has captured the lead in the Pro Open class after the opening two rounds, while Luke George leads in the Pro Lites category.

Another major Championship held just last weekend was the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE), and over 300 riders took to the trails near Orange, NSW, for four days of action-packed riding, and it was young 21 year-old Jarrod Bewley who emerged victorious, claiming the outright and premiere Class four win over fellow youngster Toby Price and 2008 Champion Chris Hollis. In the Women’s class, Alison Parker claimed her third successive A4DE against a record number of 10 female competitors, a sure sign of the continued development of the discipline and a statistic which certainly augurs well for the future of the sport.

In overseas news, Australian Steve Martin was part of the Yamaha team who won the 24 H Du Mans race in Le Mans as part of the FIM Endurance World Championship, Casey Stoner has made the perfect start to his 2009 MotoGP season by claiming the win at the Qatar Grand Prix, while Chad Reed is in second place in AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship.

May has plenty more action in store for you, as the 2009 MX Nationals, Australian Off Road and Australian Superbike Championships all continue

Remember to stay tuned to the Motorcycling Australia website www.ma.org.au for all the latest news, results and information on all things motorcycle sport in Australia in 2009.

Motorcycling Australia e-Newsletter – April 2, 2009

Welcome to another super-charged edition of MA’s e-Newsletter, with plenty of action going on in all disciplines of racing across the country and abroad.

Australian riders continue to stamp themselves as dominant riders on the world scene - Chad Reed currently leads the AMA Supercross Championship over rival James Stewart and with only a handful of rounds remaining will be hoping to claim back-to-back titles, while another defending World Champion, World Supersport rider Andrew Pitt, is currently in the lead after two rounds of the 2009 Championship.

The past month has seen the successful commencement of both the Australian Off Road and Superbike Championship Series’, the MRRDA Junior Cup, the World Superbike Championship eround at Phillip Island, and most recently the running of the Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship took place where a thirty-year drought was broken with two South Australians claiming a memorable and exciting victory.

But the action is only just hotting up in Australia, as this weekend heralds the opening round of the 2009 Australian Motocross Championship, while the Australian Four Day Enduro is just around the corner, where four-time World Champion Stefan Merriman will line up amongst a field of 350 dirt bikers who will contest the second biggest motorcycle Enduro race on the planet

Remember to stay tuned to the Motorcycling Australia website www.ma.org.au for all the latest news, results and information on all things motorcycle sport in Australia in 2009

Motorcycling Australia e-Newsletter – March 5, 2009

Welcome to the second edition of MA’s e-Newsletter for 2009, which is packed to the rafters with plenty of news, rule changes, Supplementary Regulations, member benefits and information regarding many of the events and Championships that have either been recently completed or are beginning to kick off for the year.

A lot has happened in the past month since our last edition of the e-Newsletter, including the Under 16 and 21 Speedway Championships and the sixteenth Annual Island Classic, while there was action aplenty at Phillip Island on the weekend with the running of the Australian round of the 2009 World Superbike Championship - which also incorporated the highly-anticipated opening round of the new Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) series.

March is also shaping up to be an exciting month for motorcycling racing with the commencement of both the 2009 Australian Off Road Championship and the MRRDA National Junior Cup, while the countdown has begun in earnest for the 2009 Australian Motocross Championship which kicks off on April 5 in Wodonga.

Remember to stay tuned to the Motorcycling Australia website www.ma.org.au for all the latest news, results and information on all things motorcycle sport in Australia in 2009, and feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have any queries.

Enjoy the Ride!

Well, what with house building and 3 months web free courtesy of the joke that is Telstra's copper wire system I have got quite behind on a heap of stuff, like these! So this is all the intervening ones in case anybody really wants to catch up on what was happening, and I will post the current one in a minute (flakey wireless connection permitting!). There does seem to be a couple missing in the sequence, but I don't seem to have them so maybe they didn't happen...?

It is a little difficult to convert the MA newsletters to postable text, and the format has recently changed to make it even harder. So I have attached it so the links will still work, it is below to click on and read in glorious colour.

Latest Motorcycling Australia Newsletter 26-10-07
« Reply #6 on: 26 Oct 2007, 09:18 AM »
The year seems to be wrapping up with the 2007 Australian MotoGP run and won by our very own Casey Stoner.  He won the next GP at Sepang as well, as he continues to take all before him this year.

While Casey has been performing well in the MotoGP Championship, plenty of other action has been taking place.

We have also witnessed the running of the Junior and Classic Australian Dirt Track Championships as well as The Australian Moto Trials Championship.

There have been plenty of 2008 calendar dates released as well as important Supp Reg and Entry Form information, so take a good look at this edition of the e-Newsletter, and have a great fortnight ahead!
