Thanks for posting those Vince it was great to see especially you up on that shiny, racing looking red Ducati & even though seeing what I wasnt allowed to be at by my trustee who control my money brought a tear to my eye it also gave me a big smile knowing those who were there could be!! I was hoping i could be there to chat to king Wally (Warren Lee CEO Ducati Australia about creating me a Ducati version of a can am spyder and calling it a "Trikati viper TM" So i could continue to join you with my manual wheelchair mounted in a bracket on the back of it for when were stopped anywhere safely!!

The 5am start thing ..........Worked! Got to Crossroads servo 7:30am; sun came up half way down Old Road. Great time had by all. Last 3 hours home through Bylong drenching rain (from Kandos is when it caught me). Great weekend, but 1,006km in a day is probably something better left to old goats, really. Maybe. Well eventually...

OK, Have a plan. See below, favourite pillion is staying at home. So leaving Newc approx 5:30am Fri morning to make Uncle Leo's Cross-roads service station at the top of the Hume Hwy by about 7:30am for an 8:00am departure becomes possible :D .

Do the backroads to Goulburn then via Bowral and down the coast Rd to Bega. Then Candelo, Mt Darragh, Bombala, Snowy River Way to Jindabyne. About 605km from Sydney and 780km all up from Newc. It's only 605 km, easily make it in by beer-o'clock. Probably early actually, as the riding is not that hard. Just really nice! Trust me, I know about this stuff....

Whilst I welcome company from Newc, with the early start gotta admit I am not expecting any takers!

Planning to make a decent ride of the trip home too, 995km for anyone that wants to meet up down there and come home the more interesting way? Might even get Sydney-siders that peel off at Bathurst. We'll see.

For now, this is the plan. Let me know if interested (you can Guest post here, just answer a couple of silly Ducati oriented questions first).

Edit: Adding the Schedule:
8:00am depart Uncle Leo’s Crossroads servo

149km South Nowra (morning tea, fuel) via Camden Valley Way, Razerback, Picton, Bowral (bypass), Kangaroo Valley
10:15am depart South Nowra

141km Moruya (fuel stop) via Princes Hwy
12:00pm depart Moruya

142km Candelo (lunch, fuel) via Princes Hwy, Candelo-Bega Rd
2:15pm depart Candelo

73km Bombala (leg stretch, fuel optional) via Myrtle Mtn Rd, Mount Darragh
3:15pm depart Bombala

102km Station Resort via Snowy River Way, Dalgety; arrive 4:30pm
0km Good Times Scrambler Party, and maybe figure out why Ducati is making chook chasers now!

Snowies are always a great place to be, with so many cool roads in the vicinity - any excuse will do and CDDC's 40th birthday bash is as good as any! Plus Canberra DOC are pretty good at putting on an NDR. Get full details here: https://www.cddc.org.au/index.php/ndr or just go here to register and make a plan later: https://www.cddc.org.au/index.php/ndr/registrations but do buy the polo shirts as it is going to be a memorable event!

I don't have a plan yet, but leaving Thurs arvo to stay in Katoomba, riding down Friday then spending Sat morning doing a nice ride through the snowies, then dinner Sat night and ride home Sunday seems like a plan. How about it, you up for this one? I would check out what the Sydney, sorry NSW DOC are doing and maybe blend that in. Right now it is save the date and book in time. Plan how later...

It is a bit of a slog navigating the www.cddc.org.au website, so below is what is on it at the moment - note they do suggest it will be updated so need to look out for that.
