...enjoy the beautiful sound of hundreds of V twins so hopefully this will work out for us!!  :P

Currently there is ONE V-twin known to be attending, mine! Three turned up at Dorrigo in response to this invitation, so that is kinda some idea of what MIGHT happen.... Just so's we're all clear about that, don't want you reading something into it that isn't there.

There will be rather a lot more riding to Tumbarumba, plus of course DOCNSW's Concourse D'Elegance.

(Sent out as an Announced Topic to All)

Hi Fellow Ducati Enthusiast,    (Sorry to those that get this twice (about 1/4 of the list) but I am resending it as embedded web links didn't work, so now all included in full)

Need to get your fine machine out and use it as the maker intended? Plenty of opportunities looming.

Starting with this coming weekend to Dorrigo, how about it? The weather is going to be brilliant. Either take Friday off and meet up with the Sydney crowd and a couple of Novocastrians (3 so far) at the Cafe on Cooper in Cessnock (2 Cooper St, Cessnock) @ approx. 9:30am. Or get to Wauchope Fri night / Dorrigo Sat night and mingle with the DOQ who will meet us there too. From DOCNSW: "After coffee in Cessnock we're off to Wauchope via Dungog, Gloucester, Wingham and the final bit to be decided by group consensus - 1 way, via Comboyne has 18km of gravel rd, but the rest is awesome! OR the other way is via Taree, Lansdowne, a bit of Pacific Hwy and Bago Rd - Lets see what the bunch thinks on the day." I expect we'll break into two groups for the last leg. More info here: https://hunterdog.org.au/DiscussionBoard/index.php/topic,1081.msg2973.html#msg2973.

DOCNSW Nundle Recon Ride is on 5th & 6th Aug - the basic info is shown https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=471241569893186&set=gm.443612716023289&type=3  but click on the link at the bottom of this email and there will be an image with details. These are great weekends away, but I am going to miss this year due to the next item:

Next is a local do -  Sat 12th Aug at Raymond Terrace old Maccas 8:30am for a weekend stopover at Walcha; book a room at www.walchamotel.com.au and just turn up on the day - a friend Triumph riding couple organised this, but they say the more the merrier. So why not - pretty easy day just going up the Oxley to Walcha and back Thunderbolts for the w/e.

Sun 10th Sep DOCNSW combined Concours D'elegance +Swap Meet on at Club Marconi, always a Biggie. Just be there, OK!

Sun 15th Oct All Italian Day, Cahill Oval Maude St Belmont. Click link at bottom of this email for a flyer. Promises to be a great day out, brought to you by another fine local establishment, www.classicmotorcyclerestoration.com.au. Put it in your calendar now. Yes YOU! Need to get to this one.

28-29 Oct is Thunder Rally time, check out the brochure Scottie uploaded https://hunterdog.org.au/DiscussionBoard/index.php/topic,1085.0.html. Either camp or stop in some of the fine local accommodation.

18-19 Nov is a weekender to Tumbarumba as the ST Owners (and appreciators) 20th anniversary Ride, or is it my 60th Birthday weekend they are doing it for since it is the same date? I don't have details but just booked accomm at the pub and plenty of room left, but I better BYO candles just in case it isn't all about me....(thankfully!)... Some info is https://www.docv.org/component/docv/?view=event&id=402 and from there can request to join the FB Group (I just did) and get more details. I expect to make a "nice" weekend of it and will go stay in Sydney Fri evening and travel down with a group of DOCNSW ST's (and assorted others, most likely). Return via those interesting back-roads Scottie and I once mapped out on a return trip from Beechworth Vic a decade or so ago... https://hunterdog.org.au/DiscussionBoard/index.php/topic,55

Sprinkled across the above are the NFI supported Ride Days at Eastern Ck - check out the dates https://hunterdog.org.au/DiscussionBoard/index.php/topic,720.msg2979/topicseen.html#msg2979 and find an excuse to get to one, they are always very worthwhile!

If there's anything important I've missed, please reply to this email and I'll let people know in due course. But do you need any more encouragement to get some bugs on the fairing and some serious work done on the chicken strips? Starting with this coming weekend - who needs you more this Friday than the Italian mistress who promises to reward you with good times, great company and amazing weather? Nobody, you got it right! We'll see you in Cessnock (or Wauchope, or Dorrigo, up to you - just do it).

All the best,
Vince & Kellie
