Scott Priestley was awarded the Royal Rehab Achievement Award at the2017 Annual Ryde Sports Foundation Dinner which was held at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club on Friday 5 May.
 
Paralympic Legend Louise Sauvage OAM was the special guest speaker along with other guests including former Davis Cup Tennis player and now Federal Member for Bennelong, John Alexander.
 
Twelve athletes representing a wide variety of sports were presented with trophies and acknowledged as local  sports stars by the Ryde Sports Foundation.
 
Royal Rehab also presented two Achievement Awards. One Award went to a former spinal client and now Paralympian Jonathon Milne. Jonathon won a Bronze Medal at the Rio Games in 2016. The other Award was presented to Scott Priestley an Ambassador of the Brain Injury Unit Wall of Fame and now enjoying success as a Sailor with Sailors With a disAbility.
 
The presentation to Scott Priestley was made by the CEO of Royal Rehab Stephen Lowndes.

Hi Jim.
Another great night. This was one of my highlights of the night right up with having a selfie with Louise Sauvage. I actually had a lump in my throat when he stood up. That was such a special moment. So inspirational. I hope we can all take a moment to see that we can overcome all things thrown to us.
I hope you had a good night as well. Thank you for all the hard behind the scenes work. It never ceases to amaze me how it all falls into place in the end.  See you next week for wrap up and the process starts again!

Thanks to the guys from DOCNSW who came along to this for me and after i was photographed by some of their nice ladies of me with THEIR clubs members who came to it for me and then after i was approached by about 5 or more ladies telling me that their jaws dropped like everyone in the room after watching me standing up talking for ten minutes while being presented my award and i got to meet these two amazing young ladies https://youtu.be/ia9e10LxeQo who were also presented an award too!!!

So who's coming down to be there in support of this other sport ive been cast over the handlebars into doing quite well in, so good im being awarded for this!!!!

They are joystick controlled robotic legs for those who still read from our fine forum instead of shopping for all other brands to leave broken down in the garage!!!

Your nomination is official. You were announced at the monthly Awards on Friday.


You will receive a cheque for $300 in the mail in the next ten days. Then on 5 May will receive the balance of $ 700. Total of $1000. No other prizes - just the money.


Send me your mailing address again for the cheque so I can forward to the Secretary.
